Frontpage featured articles

Post by Gix »

Before I buy this module i want too know something.
Is it possible too replace the frontpage featured modules by this module?
By default joomla displays the featured items in the content module.
But i want to have it better styled.

Feature article on page area

Post by renareto »

Hi,
I need to set the home page of my last web site in this way:

_____________________
area1
featured article 1
featured article 2
featured article n
_____________________
area2
featured article 1
featured article 2
featured article n
_____________________
area 3
featured article 1
featured article 2
featured article n

other static info

I need to define more area of the home page, where I could put the featured article of a pre-defined section

I'm wondering if is it possible

thx

Yes, this is what you can do with RAXO All-mode PRO.
You can show featured articles from pre-defined categories for each area on your front page.

Our module comes with three built-in templates http://raxo.org/built-in-templates.html.
They are free, and you can use them as they are or add changes according to your needs.
Or you can create your own templates.
Or you can use some of our additional templates http://raxo.org/additional-templates.html.

You can install our module and use it right away without any modifications in your template.

display category news on "Featured Articles" Page

Post by paulhosking »

I want to display articles using the source selection current category, but can't seem to get it to work on Featured articles pages
ie you can see the module live here, https://www.whatech.com/accounting-solu ... ss-release but not here https://www.whatech.com/accounting-solutions/

I am able to display when to use source = selected category.

it appears that the "current category" doesn't include sub categories.

thanks

It doesn't work that way.
Because for the Featured Articles page, there is no such thing as a current category.
This page type can display 10 articles and they will all be from different categories of your site.
I am able to display when to use source = selected category.
And what's wrong? Yes, this is the right way in your case.
You can choose one or more categories.
You can also use the filter to show only featured articles.

read about subcategories here:

Thank you yes, I think I forgot some of my Joomla basics, I've only been using is for 15 years so tend to forget the things that I started with and the reasons.

So what you're saying is that there's no way to include subcategories. Unless you choose Source Selection = Selected Categories

RAXO All-mode PRO and featured or highlighted articles

Post by andrea.gabos »

When I insert a new article and set the highlighted parameter, I wanted to know if it could also be set within the module to display only the highlighted articles of the various categories.
