We are ready to deliver a new version of popular RAXO Related Articles Joomla module to our clients. With this update the module gets a new filter by featured articles and we know that some of our clients were so eager to get this new option. Sure, this is not the only benefit. • Problem when current category was not recognized is solved;

• Minor interface changes in administration panel;
• Fix for Bricks layout to avoid conflicts when this layout was used by All-mode PRO module on the same page;
• PostgreSQL random ordering error is fixed.

Filter by featured articles

Featured articles in widely used by Joomla users to mark some articles for some reasons, e.g. to display them separately.

Starting with this module version you get a new filter by featured articles, which basically means three options.

Featured Items:

• Show with other - the module will search among both featured and standard articles;
• Only featured items show - the module will search only among featured articles;
• Hide - exclude featured articles from the module search.

Include/Exclude current categories

The previous versions of RAXO Related Articles module allowed you to include/exclude selected categories from the module search area. We decided to add the same flexibility to current category, which now you can include or exclude. So, if you decide to exclude current category, the module will show you related articles from any other categories on your site but not from the current category.

Well, how you can use that. Let's say, you have a site about local musicians. There is a category "News" where you post news about all musicians and bands. Also, there are other categories with interviews, discographies, etc. When you post some news about a certain musician, you don't want to show your readers similar but outdated news. Instead, you can exclude current category "News", and the module will suggest related articles from other site categories, i.e. this musician's interviews, his biography, discography, and anything else about this person available on your site.
