On December 10th Joomla! Project released the final version of Joomla 2.5 - it's v2.5.28. The official support for Joomla 2.5 is announced to be over on December 31, 2014.
What does it mean for you? Your sites will keep working as normal, but there are some serious BUTs. End of support means that you no longer get bug fixes, features, or security updates for this release.
Why should I migrate to Joomla 3.x?
We think that no official support is a good reason to move your site to a modern platform. Besides, there are other perks and arguments that make moving to Joomla 3.x really worth to rock the boat. Just consider some of them:

You also should know that moving from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.x is not difficult. In fact, it's a much easier jump than it was from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5. No grounds to be afraid of this.
What is RAXO's official position?
Our policy is the same as Joomla! suggests. So yes, it's the right time to go for Joomla 3.x. However, we don't cut support period this December, but extend our support for RAXO J2.5 modules for another six months, till June 30, 2015.
