I was thinking, would it be possible to have an option where the visitor of the site could order the articles according to their liking?
They could go on and choose to sort the articles by:
Newest
Most Popular
Oldest
Is that a possibility?

Like let the user on one click see more:
1.hited or 2.oldest or 3.commented come back to newest at a single click?
Would be perfect! And as plus will save space in many pages.
