Latest article from each category and auto display

Hi- Joomla noob here. Haven’t been coding in a while, either. Great combo!

I’m setting up a news site and developing it on a local test environment (latest joomla/apache/php/mysql). Time is a factor for maintaining the site going forward, so I'm shooting for automated work flow.

- Can Raxo grab the latest article from each cat. and display it as a front page item without designating the article as a front page item?
- Assuming this can be done, what are the basic parameters for accomplishing that?

Don’t necessarily need Raxo to handle the individual cat pages. Looking for the 1 lead 4 following story format.

Spinning my wheels a bit and figured it would save a lot of time to ask. Using the standard template rhuk_milkyway for now.

If you want to have auto thumbnail creation working, use php version 5.2.x.

Yes, you can show articles on the front page without designating them as front page articles.
Also you can include/exclude/show only front page articles when you select articles to use in the module.

Yes, RAXO All-mode PRO can do that. Choose the categories in SOURCE SELECTION and set the dates or days in FILTER SETTINGS.
