VAT question

Hi, I just went through the process to buy the news module and have question about VAT. The amount I'm being charged is in dollars so presumably you're not a UK company but I get VAT added to the total amount. Why is that please? Thanks.

VAT is not charged on business to business transactions. If a customer has a valid VAT ID they will not be charged VAT. Otherwise the purchases are considered taxable.
A customer with a valid VAT ID they should enter a company in the company field and then on the next screen they will be offered the opportunity to enter the VAT.
